Possible causes of a warm LG fridge include blocked vents, a fan fault, a temperature control or sensor problem, frost restricting airflow, a door-in-door that is not latching, an electrical fault, a compressor-related problem or a refrigeration-system fault.
Door-in-door models leak cold air if the inner door is left slightly open by bottles. That can warm the main fridge while the freezer still looks acceptable. It is one of the first things a technician checks on those cabinets.

LG leaks reported in Harare are often melt from a blocked defrost drain, condensation around a door-in-door, or a dispenser drip. A wet kitchen floor is not treated as proof that refrigerant is escaping.
If the water is inside the crisper after a thick frost melt, the door close and drain are the first checks. If water is at a dispenser, the supply connection is inspected as well.
LG frost-free cabinets hum in normal use. Arrange a visit when the sound is new, when it comes with vibration through a wooden floor, or when cooling has dropped at the same time.
Clicking after a power cut is not a diagnosis of compressor failure. Fans, pipes and start components are common sources. Describe whether the sound is inside the freezer or at the back.
Ice around an LG vent or on the freezer back wall can follow a door that is not latching, a seal that is dirty or torn, or a defrost-related fault. The ice is the symptom, not the named part.
Do not chip ice off an LG evaporator cover. If you power the fridge down to thaw it, keep melt-water away from the socket and keep food safe.
LG households sometimes report a cold freezer and a warm fridge, or the reverse, after someone changed a panel setting. Others see food freezing at the back of the fridge while the door shelves stay mild.
Possible causes include a control or damper issue, blocked vents, or a door that is not sealing. Food freezing in the fridge section is covered on the fridge-freezing-food page and is not treated as a gas shortage.
No light and no LG display is an electrical starting problem. Check the socket with another appliance and look for a tripped breaker. Unplug the fridge if the plug or wall outlet is hot.
Do not open the compressor bay. If the display flashes but the cabinet never runs, include that detail when you book so the visit is not treated as a dead appliance.
An LG fridge that clicks and never settles into a run can involve start components, a control, a sensor, a fan lock, a refrigeration-system condition or another fault. The compressor is not condemned from the badge that says linear, or from the click alone.

LG displays can show a letter-number code after a sensor, fan or communication check. The same characters are not safe to interpret from a generic internet list.

FRIDGE REGASSING
An LG fridge that is not cooling does not automatically need regassing. Cooling problems can also involve airflow, fans, sensors, temperature controls, electrical faults, ice buildup, compressor-related problems or other faults. The fridge should first be assessed to determine whether refrigeration-system work is appropriate.
Where that work is appropriate, fridge regassing starts from US$30. It is not used to revive an LG fridge that will not switch on.
